- Matthew Robert Cooper
-
Living and breathing currently in Portland Oregon, Matthew Robert Cooper constructs endoterrestrial melodies and deconstructed soundscapes, with the occasional haunting nocturne or the race of a rattling sonata. As Eluvium, Matthew has four full length albums and an EP to his credit on the Temporary Residence label. His compositions are like hearing Chopin for the first time through a tin can phone from somewhere so unearthly you will be convinced he is a sonic conduit, channeling an underwater symphony light years off. Defenestration, defenestration, defenestration.

Hailing from Baltimore, MD this four piece weirdo chamber folk ensemble takes you in its bipolar grip, casting spells of malaise and joy... felicity and misery. The palette is spattered with balkan and yiddish traditional influence, but with an original and new collective instinct. Accordion, singing saw, glockenspiel, melodica, drums, guitar and the clip clop of a melee of organic percussion couple with the echo of wordless vocals. The overall effect is hypnotizing and plays out like some sort of live action music box or the soundtrack to something at musee mechanique. Think Harry Potter in a one piece 1920's style striped bathing suit. A hazy daze maze of ice fire and Wodehouse. Past members include Walker Teret of Cass McCombs and Arbouretum.

- Ponytail
- Jeremy Hyman, Ken Seeno, Molly Siegel, Dustin Wong
-
Originally formed in 2005 as part of a class project at Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Ponytail has released two albums and toured both nationally and in Europe. Both Kamehameha (2006 Creative Capitalism) and Ice Cream Spiritual (2008 We are Free) received gushing reviews from Pitchfork, Tiny Mix Tapes and others. They have shared the stage with High Places, Battles, Dan Deacon, and Beach House to name a few. Their live show is one of the best; Molly heaving up and down on tip toe, Dustin and Ken doing their best Ventures meets Wyld Stallyns thing, and Jeremy the proud new owner of what appear to be 4 or 5 extra arms! Do not miss it!
