So happy to be announcing the release of a collection of BRAND NEW SONGS by Tony Dore' of the legendary acid folk trio Tony Caro and John. Fall Away Like Leaves features 13 new delicately woven psych-folk gems complete with the cerebral lyrics and haunting vocals that fans of All On The First Day will be expecting. Not to say there isn't departure here; these are different songs for different times and certainly different places. This album features a lush array of sounds which accompany an arsenal of string instruments including banjo, 12 string, mandolin, sitar, electric sitar, and bouzouki all played by Dore'. For now this album is available in DIGITAL FORMAT ONLY so get it today from iTunes, Amazon, or the digital provider of your choice!

- Tony Caro and John
- All on the First Day (LP)
-
Finally available, the Gaarden Records LP reissue of the 1972 British psyche folk classic All On The First Day by Tony Caro and John. Originally released in an edition of 99 copies on vinyl in 1972 (to avoid being taxed on the 100th copy) this album has proven to be a classic in the acid folk genre. Influenced by the late sixties sounds of bands like The Incredible String Band, floating somewhere between the psychedelic songwriting of Syd Barrett and the stark beauty of Vashti Bunyan lie Tony Caro and John. The first 500 of these LPs are on opaque and delightful green vinyl. This LP features the original 13 tracks from the album plus the originally unreleased title track "All on the First Day." Look for more totally unreleased material from this band this year on Gaarden Records!

- Charles Stanyan
- Shipwreck Joy EP: Remixes from Vinyl (digital)
-
This is a digital only EP of remixes from vinyl by Charles Stanyan. This EP features 3 tracks, each a sonic collage sourced from a Gaarden Records vinyl release. "Sage's Exacto Mix" sources Matthew Robert Cooper's Miniatures release, playing the vinyl LP with an exacto blade and a contact mic and affecting the results. He experiments here with carving his own grooves and skips into the vinyl before playing. On the "Bonfire Shadows in the Surf" mix of Ponytail's "Island Z" Stanyan uses a quadrophonic speaker system, briefly popular in the seventies, to play the song through 4 channels into his mixer for processing. The "Lost on the Ocean of Our Sickness" mix of Madagascar's "Goodbye East, Goodbye West" is a hypnotizing adaptation using a more refined version of the "scratch and knick" method. The project is a haunting, and relaxing, yet simultaneously glitched out subterranean endeavour into post-consumption music.

- Ponytail
- Kamehameha (LP)
-
On vinyl for the first time ever, exclusively from Gaarden records, Ponytail: Kamehameha! This 2006 debut album by Baltimore hyper-punk-pop ensemble Ponytail is a 26 minute rain of energon cubes! A bombast of excitement! Tangible energy bursting through the seams of your skin suit! Beginning with a chorus of voices that emerge from nowhere and ascend in unison to heights shattered. Spiraling guitars that weave and play intermittent, drums that race between them furious, and the soulful, often pre-lingual vocals belting out the play by play of the whole event. It is a listen that will leave you quite out of breath. More fun than a bathtub full of Mountain Dew and Tetris!

- Madagascar
- Goodbye East, Goodbye West (LP)
-
The sophomore album by Madagascar, a Baltimore based quartet that softly stamps out soothing circular melodies on an array of acoustic instruments that include accordion, saw, xylophone, bells and drums. Like dancing an oxycodone waltz with your grandmother to a Bell Biv Devoe 45 on slow speed while cabbage cooks away in the adjoining kitchen. Limited edition of 500 on robin's egg blue vinyl.

- Miniatures (LP)
-
Nine short saturnian interludes make up the first proper vinyl release by the sound artist who has intrigued your collapsed antenna many times before as Eluvium, Matthew Robert Cooper. Atmospheric chamber music from the cardboard box vortex. Miniatures moves from swirling spatial feedback manipulations to stripped down minimal piano pieces and back while you watch from the curbside the ghostly parade. Limited to 2,000 copies with the first 1,000 on colored vinyl.

- Colyalcolor
- Caid Morato
-
Currently residing in Los Angeles, Colyalcolor's Brian Randolph creates a dense sea of sound, atmospheric, like skinny-dipping in mercury. Colyalcolor combines the organic tones of guitars and vocals with textural synth and drums to bring us these heaving, breathing, living pieces. Influences? Maybe. You decide. It's beautiful and like nothing I've ever heard.
